  • Do I have to have a visible sticker on my car alerting people it is equipped with a TRACKER car tracker?

    A TRACKER unit does not have any stickers in the kit for your car. It is important that the installation of a TRACKER unit in your vehicle is not disclosed. Stickers are only a motivation to thieves, who will try and quickly locate the TRACKER unit and attempt to disable it. This will only cause unnecessary damage to your car. Actually it is important that you don’t disclose to anyone that your vehicle is equipped with a TRACKER, they don’t need to know about it, unless they plan to steal your car!

  • What happens once my vehicle has been recovered?

    When your vehicle is located a uniformed guard will stay with your car until the recovery vehicle shows up to collect it. Your vehicle will be returned to you anywhere in the UK. This is all part of the service you get when you buy a TRACKER.

  • What is VHF?

    VHF - Very High Frequency location technology is a standard feature found in all TRACKER units. It is not found in any other tracking unit in the world. It is unique in the way that it works meaning that it can’t be shielded, so your vehicle can’t be hidden in a container or underground, the VHF technology will still send a pulse that can be detected by the Police. It is also totally immune to to signal jammers used by many sophisticated car thieves.

    The VHF technology is supported in 30 countries throughout the world and to date has been used to recover over 250,000 vehicles.

  • What is GPS?

    The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite-based navigation system made up of a network of 24 satellites placed into orbit by the U.S. Department of Defense. GPS was originally intended for military applications, but in the 1980s, the government made the system available for civilian use.

  • What is GSM?

    GSM stands for Global System for Mobile Communications and is the network standard for much of the world. Of the four major carriers here in the United States, T-Mobile and AT&T use GSM technology. In Europe, you'll be hard-pressed to find something other than GSM.

  • What is the TRACKER Mesh Network?

    TRACKER Mesh is a feature of TRACKER Locate. If your Tracker Locate is active due to your car being stolen it uses other vehicles fitted with Tracker Locate to communicate its location back to Tracker, and the Police, helping ensure an extra fast recovery of your car is achieved, as it is easier to locate.
